Skimming too much off the top

These fees are obscene, especially when youcaring has a reputation for ignoring charity whenever their arbitrary customer service decides someone isn't worth supporting (see: Hughmungus). Overall, a vacuous service that's better when replaced with any alternative.

Dodgy experience with Youcaring website - Image 3

I was running in past fundraisers on Youcaring website and never have had bad experience.I was registered there with my email address. This time I decided to register at Youcaring website with third party application of Youcaring itself connected with my facebook account, not knowing what trouble can that bring.Does it ring to you?Yes you giving your facebook password to them and many more.It was requested of me to change beneficiary's paypal email address into another by beneficiary itself, because beneficiary would be different then.I couldn't do it manually, there was no option to do so.So I got in touch with Youcaring administration. They were very helpful, giving link to me for changing beneficary's paypal address.I was only organizer in fundraiser,as always.I registered with facebook account on Youcaring website for one reason only,so people can check my transparency and posts which would be in connection to fundraiser as solid proof of why and what for I am running fundraiser. The dogs I rescued needed more help with donations. This was big mistake : 1) Registering Youcaring account with facebook account and maybe also 2) Requesting changing beneficiary's paypal address.Me as organizer could not access beneficiary's paypal to withdraw donation, nor I was beneficiary. Also Total amount of donations does not change if donations would be withdrawn.Happen, that I noticed somebody without my permission and without my request changed for second time beneficiary's paypal address. It was changed into : Name : Mobeen ,Surname : Khan and into beneficiary's paypal address : Kieran_walshaw_98@***.com .As soon I noticed it I deactivated fundraiser.I was worried if more donors would donate where donations would go and are donations stolen the ones were already on fundraiser donated.I sent complaint to Youcaring administration, there was no reply for about 3 days,I got in touch with one of donors who donated via same fundraiser asking donor to check is his donation withdrawn or not,and giving explanation to what happen, that fundraiser was hacked.Donation was stolen by same name, surname and paypal address I gave here, just that only from donor information about it was not Capital letter K in Kieran, but it was small letter k.Donor got in touch with Youcaring administration, they replied to donor and then after to me.Again, how ignorant they were to my 10-15 emails complaints for 3 days, and as soon donor complaint they replied to us both.At the end there was no transparency from Youcaring administration, their security and safety is not safe and secure for members to register via third party application with Youcaring application which was connected to my facebook account.I was furious because for 3 days no single reply came from Youcaring at start. At end they said,it must be that to somebody I gave my email password. What has gotta to do my email password with registering at Youcaring with registered facebook account.I told them ,this is from your end you lack security and safety with third party applications and you can easy check up on every logging detail because every website can see IP addresses of logging in.I told them I reported it to law authorities, why they don't do same! The answer was they will report to paypal. And me to report to local authorities.I told them reporting foreigner to local authorities is not in jurisdiction of local authorities,I reported it to international law authorities because I don't know where does hacker live, where he she or they are from. Also weak spot is do not change beneficiary's paypal ever in Youcaring fundraiser,I was thinking every each time if requested of me beneficiary's paypal address to be changed that I have to ask Youcaring administration for permission to let me do it.But that weak spot also gives them space to blame on you saying that only once needed to be requested and could be changed after with same link,I didn't knew this either. So,dogs stayed without donations, donors were ripped off and no transparency by Youcaring providing solid proof of their words written in emails.I asked many questions,on many questions they never answered. This was fundraiser link : https://www.youcaring.com/pansionzapsemaza-832791 Gordana Stetin

Youcaring - Set up a fundraiser to build shelters for the homeless.......

I only had my fundraiser up and running for 2 days in total - then I get an email to say that it had been taken down/removed from the youcaring webite, and that they do not need to give me a reason whatsoever, simply no reason given and no reply when I asked why this has happened. I could not believe my *** luck.

So it seems that you can start a fundraiser to help sick animals just so long as it is not sick or needy humans. Apalling indeed!

To me, it is simply not worth the headache with youcaring, who are a bunch of hypocrites who don't care at all. I will try elsewhere-maybe.....

"What is your relation to the campaign holder, XXXXXXXXX?"

Youcaring - What is your relation to the campaign holder, XXXXXXXXX?

I tried multiple times to donate to my friend's cause. I had just received a new card so the first couple times I figured the problem was just that.

NO. It turns out you must clarify how you know the campaigner and/or link a social media page. I donated $100 and got the confirmation, and they returned it. They emailed me that I had to confirm how I know the campaigner.

WTF?

And they also said they had not found any payments under my name even though I had the confirmation. I'd supply the receipt but I don't want my info out there.

Poor customer service; possible fraudulent pratices

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
YouCaring have said that they can't find my account, yet they continue to send contribution info and message to the email address I used to set up the account. One donation was send by credit card and the site said they didn't have the correct information. they claimed they would contact the donor which they never did. The donor said the card was valid and no one ever tried to contact them. This seems all very murky and I may be contacting legasl authorities if I don't get some response from YouCaring. I can't understand people who try to rip off the very people that need help the most. I have sent multiple emails to YouCaring and they either don't write back or continue to claim that I don't have an account.

Please DO NOT DO Business with these people:

THEY MAKE IT SEEM LIKE DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM IS THE BEST THING EVER. ONLY TO PERSUADE YOU TO OPEN UP AND BEGIN THE PROCESS OF CREATING A FUNDRAISER, AND WHEN YOU HAVE DONE ALL THAT THEY REQUIRE YOU TO DO. THEY CLOSE OUT YOUR PROFILE AND DELETE IT WITHOUT ANY WARNING, OR NOTIFICATION AS WELL AS A REASON. THEN AFTER WAY PAY DELETES YOUR ACCOUNT, YOU CARING FOLLOWS SUIT WITHOUT ANY REASON OR EXPLANATION. THEY NEVER ANSWER EMAILS, AFTER TIRELESS EFFORTS TO GET A REASON ON WHY THEY CLOSED YOUR ACCOUNT. I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW TO MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF THIS SITE TO NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

Discriminated!!!

I have a dear friend in Iran who takes care of stray and abused dogs in Iran. She is a legitimate volunteer for a dog org. based in Canada. My friend basically takes care of the dogs until they are sent and adopted mostly to the US. Lately she has been having problems financially so I opted to help her getting some donation using Youcaring.com. But I just got an email from them that I can not fundraiser for her since she is an Iranian. WTF??? She is the most loving human being whose life has been dedicated to stray dogs in Iran. I am sure this lady is much more compassionate than most people in America when it comes to dogs. I hope they will reconsider it. What a blow to those dogs who need help.

Allow scammers on their site and when notified do nothing

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I contacted the site to disclose information I had regarding a fundraiser that was being dishonest and offered to provide the proof of the said dishonesty. YouCaring has done nothing, and therefore I have reported to the local news in the hopes they can feature the story. I think it is important for others to know the site does not offer a response because they stand to gain when others donate. I hope the news picks up the story and makes others aware of not only the deceit but that YouCaring is more concerned of money than of honesty.

Ripped off with Houston Relief fund.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I thought I was going in to JJ Watt's charity for Houston's catastrophe. My donation never appeared. The donations list is totally bogus - it is filled with the same names over & over. Based on JJ Watt's name I wanted to contribute to an honest Houston Relief fund. *** me. I should have stopped when it didn't look right. Of course I will never know where my $460 went. Now I am left ripped off and completely disgusted. They should be shut down. How they can get away with taking advantage of a tragedy such as what is happening in Texas is beyond comprehension. As a human being I am sickened by this corrupt greed.

YouCaring's new name is, We don't give a ***.
Updated by user Jul 11, 2017

I have just mentioned, in my previous review, of YouCaring.com, about the unarmed black man, Dejuan Guillory, who was shot dead by the Louisiana police, and how a fundraising page was set on YouCaring.com, which it has immediately given priority to and posted it on its front page. The fundraising page is to get money for the bail of the former girlfriend, Dequince Brown, who has shown enormous courage, against the police.

Please note, that I strongly commend this girls bravery, in regards to the police's actions. And I wish that she gets the funds to bail her out of jail. My only beef was with YouCaring.com, which jumps at the opportunity, to also get money from that fundraising effort, as well. I am a human rights blogger and I have always reported on police brutality and government corruption.

See y blog, "Canada Human Rights Abuse is Exposed. The Truth is Revealed". Today, I am also facing relentless persecution, as a result of exercising my right to freedom of speech. As well as in trying to protect my legal rights and my human rights.

I commend anyone, that stand up for justice. And those of us that do, we hope to get the public support, as well.

If not, those like me, will just keep on doing what we are doing, until we see the change, that we are fighting for. My condolences, to Dequince Brown, you're a very courageous woman.

Updated by user Jul 11, 2017

Okay, now I know for sure that YouCaring.com, has clearly blocked my fundraising page, from being featured, with the other fundraisers on its site. Today, July 11, I just looked at the fundraising page, under Emergencies and Disaster, which I should have posted on, and saw a new fundraising page posted, for a man name Dejuan Guillory, that was been shot by police on July 6th.

This means that YouCaring.com allowed this fundraiser to be seen on its front page, as a top priority. And I am guessing that it is because it also believe, that this fundraiser will also generate a lot of donations. While I sympathized for this man's family, I think that it is also inherently unfair to other fundraisers, like me (See Valerie Guillaume, under Emergencies and Disaster, YouCaring.com), not to have their fundraising page featured at all, on that page. My life has been turned upside down, by the Canadian authorities, because of its relentless persecution of me, which has left me and my animal homeless, by the Toronto Fire Services and the Office of the Emergency Management and the Toronto Red Cross.

They all colluded together to put me out on the street and to not allow me to return to my home. I have been forced out of my home countless times, over the years, by the Canadian government, in order to destabilized me. And this is all part of its persecution of me, as a human rights blogger, living in Canada. The latest proof that I have of them also blocking my activities online, is with YouCaring.com.

I have never had my fundraising page featured with the other fundraisers, by YouCaring.com and this was intended to block me from getting any donations. I posted the link on my Google+ page and on Twitter and that's it. YouCaring.com not only blocks some fundraisers, but also "promoted" those other fundraisers that it thinks will also generate money (a lot of money), and in which case, YouCaring.com will also get its "cut" from it. This is dishonest and should be exposed.

And since I am in the business of exposing corruption, why not start here, with YouCaring.com. as well?.

Original review Jul 05, 2017
I have had a very negative experience with YouCaring.com. And it is also safe to say that I don't trust them. I posted a donation page on their website, and YouCaring.com did not display my donation page, with the other fundraisers, in that category. When I ask YouCaring.co what was up with that?, I got a very cold and uncaring response. Needless to say, that has also greatly hindered my ability to get the funds that I need, to deal with that emergency and disaster, which I had requested the help for. YouCaring.com may not collect certain fees, like other online fundraising sites, but YouCaring.com greatly lacked the other services, that some of those other sites offers to their clients. Including, customer service skills. I would suggest that it change its name from YouCaring.com to "We don't give a ***", which is more suitable for how they treat their customers. Now, I am also wondering how safe this site is, as far as forwarding the funds from donors. I have some serious doubts about YouCaring.com staff's professional integrity. If they can divert donors away from your fundraising page, then YouCaring.com can also divert your donations (funds) from you as well.

Since I posted that comment about YouCaring.com, on Pissed consumer, I am also wondering why Pissed consumer, also did not print my name along with my picture?. It has posted my picture up (seen here), but not my name to go along with it.

I did not write an anonymous review, but I identified myself and that part was hidden from my review. Since I had told YouCaring.com, that I would be complaining, publicly and loudly, if they did not respond to my complaint, about not showing my donation page, along with the other fundraisers, in my category (which is Disaster and Emergency), then I would think that Pissed consumer would also be transparent as well. Anyway, I plan to take my fundraising page down soon, but anyone wishing to donate to help me and my animal, who have been made homeless, by the actions of the Canadian government and its local authorities, can also visit my fundraising page. It is Valerie Guillaume, under the Disaster and Emergency category, of YouCaring.com.

IT is about trying to fight for my human rights and to stop the persecution against me.

Read my entire story there. (I also have a Blog).

The worst fundraising site ever

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I tried to do fundraising campaign and was denied, tried to raise funds for my son to get an attorney for him to represent him in family court so he can tell the judge that he wants to come live with me, so his interests are protected. They took my campaign down stating that it was not a display of harmony! The biggest snowflake site I have ever seen. So I went through their sight were I found a BLM fundraiser trying to raise legal fees (against their policy) and three other fundraisers for custody issues (also against their policies so they say) and demanded that they take them down. It is so nice that they cherry pick what they feel promotes Harmony! I told them where to shove their site! Stay away from this site, it is useless and a complete waste of time and they do discriminate, I they refused because I mentioned my child's disability. These people running this site are just {{Redacted}}!!!

????????

I was going to create an account because I take in several animals who are discarded and need medical attention and food. BUT, after reading all these complaints, I have decided not to ask for any help form (youcaring).. I will go shopping for another web site that is at least reputable. Whoops !! they say I have to continue with at least 100 words, but it only takes a few to describe this web site. They need more details ?? I'm so glad I read all the complaints. Almost everything now days is a rip off in some way, so I will figure out another way to solve this problem with all my Dogs and Cats that I have taken in. I'm elderly and poor, so not much money left over after bills are paid. I didn't count these words, but hope there is at least 100. Stupid web site for sure.

I started a fundraiser this morning for my friend. Without my knowledge her sister started one and preferred we keep donations on there. I closed my fundraiser and although my friend's mother hadn't set her bank account up for donations yet, they had already withdrew my donation. Fundraiser for Charles Robert Saxon is a fraud. Can NOT contact anyone from youcaring.com.

They will not respond to any emails. I am to now believe the entire site to be a scam and STEALING from people who actually want to help. Please DO NOT make ANY donations to this site. I personally will be contacting authorities to press charges of fraud against whomever organized the post.

Claims that it was Betty Saxon but it wasn't. Claims it is Houston, Tx; it isn't.

Full of Scams

Best advice I can ever give is NEVER donate to a fundraiser who asks for cash and whom you can't verify. Nowadays, it is very easy to verify people. I just reported one of their fundraisers for Puerto Rico who was upfront asking for cash and gift cards near them in DETROIT. In the next paragraph, they claim that they will send you a receipt with their exempt number AFTER you send them cash. Guess what that means? Don't stupid. Youcaring.com may have some legit folks, but really, stick to either legitimate charities and organizations, never send cash (always use a credit card, one you can dispute), and always do your research on anyone or any organization asking for money. By the way, I wrote "full of scams," because I browsed the site to see other drives - so many of them are asking for cash with dubious credentials. You've been warned.
